Given Isaiah Berlin’s typology of the negative and positive conceptions of freedom in the history of philosophy, this article examines Kant’s position on freedom in the form of the above two conceptions. In Kant’s view, moral action is a practice with a purely moral motive and respect for the moral law, without the accompaniment of human desires. There is a kind of opposition between moral inclinations and motivation in Kant’s moral theory. In Kant’s view, freedom means the abandonment of desires and the fulfillment of moral duty. In his view, inner tendencies act as internal barriers to moral action and‌ freedom, and must be eliminated or at least controlled. The concept of freedom has a central place in Kant’s moral theory, as freedom is the product of obedience to moral duties, and this positive concept, contrary to Berlin’s claim, does not lead to tyranny.}, keywords = {freedom,Kant,Berlin,liberalism,authoritarianism}, title_fa = {آزادی مثبت و لیبرالیسم در فلسفه سیاسی کانت}, abstract_fa = {موضوع این مقاله تحلیل مفهوم آزادی به عنوان یکی از مسائل بنیادین اندیشه سیاسی در فلسفه کانت است. با توجه به گونهشناسی آیزایا برلین در مورد برداشتهای مختلف منفی و مثبت از آزادی در تاریخ فلسفه، در این مقاله موضع کانت در باب آزادی در قالب دو برداشت فوق بررسی میشود. در دیدگاه کانت، عمل اخلاقی عملی با انگیزه صرفاً اخلاقی و احترام به قانون اخلاقی، بدون همراهی تمایلات انسانی است. نوعی تقابل بین تمایلات و انگیزه اخلاقی در نظریه اخلاقی کانت دیده میشود. آزادی در دیدگاه کانت به معنای کنارگذاشتن تمایلات و عمل به وظیفه اخلاقی است. تمایلات درونی در دیدگاه کانت به مثابه مانع درونی عمل اخلاقی و آزادی هستند که باید رفع یا حداقل کنترل شوند. مفهوم آزادی جایگاهی محوری در نظریه اخلاقی کانت دارد، به گونهای که آزادی محصول تبعیت از وظایف اخلاقی است، و این مفهوم ایجابی، برخلاف ادعای برلین، با توجه به ظرفیتهایی چون فردگرایی و ضابطهمند بودن کاربست آن در قالب اوامر قطعی به استبداد منجر نمیشود.}, keywords_fa = {freedom,Kant,Berlin,liberalism,authoritarianism}, url = {https://philosophy.tabrizu.ac.ir/article_12875.html}, eprint = {https://philosophy.tabrizu.ac.ir/article_12875_0468b0f7917628596e442d660bc2f15a.pdf} }
