Drawing on the theoretical foundations of John Rawls’s theory of justice, particularly the concepts of the basic structure of society, the sense of justice, and social cooperation, this study argues that public education plays a central role in sustaining a just social order. First, the concepts of the original position and the veil of ignorance are revisited as normative devices for the impartial evaluation of educational policies. Subsequently, by appealing to Rawls’s two principles of justice, equal basic liberties and fair equality of opportunity, it is argued, first, that the establishment of a fair educational system requires the systematic application of these principles, and second, that without such a fair educational system, the principles of justice themselves cannot achieve stability or durability over time. Finally, the paper concludes that education is not a secondary social good but rather a condition of possibility for a just society, insofar as the cultivation of a sense of justice in citizens and the continuation of social cooperation depend upon public education. In this way, Rawls’s theory of justice provides a normative framework for rethinking educational justice in contemporary democratic societies. عدالت آموزشی نه صرفاً مسئله‌ای آموزشی یا تربیتی، بلکه بخشی بنیادین از عدالت اجتماعی و شرط تحقق همکاری آزاد و برابر در جامعه است. این پژوهش با تکیه بر مبانی نظری عدالت جان رالز نظیرِ مفهوم ساختار بنیادین جامعه، حس عدالت و همکاری اجتماعی، نشان می‌دهد که آموزش عمومی نقشی محوری در پایداری نظم عادلانه دارد. نخست مفاهیم وضع اولیه و پردۀ بی‌خبری به‌عنوان ابزارهای هنجاری برای ارزیابی بی‌طرفانۀ سیاست‌های آموزشی بازخوانی می‌شوند. در ادامه، با تکیه بر دو اصل عدالت رالز، یعنی آزادی‌های اساسی برابر و برابری منصفانۀ فرصت‌ها، نشان داده می‌شود که اولاً برای نیل به یک نظام آموزشی منصفانه می‌بایست این دو اصل مورد استفاده و کاربست قرار بگیرند و دوم اینکه بدون یک چنین نظام آموزشی منصفانه‌ای اصول عدالت دوام و ماندگاریی نخواهند داشت. در نهایت، نتیجه گرفته می‌شود که آموزش نه خیری ثانوی، بلکه شرط امکان تحقق جامعۀ عادل است؛ زیرا پرورش حس عدالت در افراد و استمرار همکاری اجتماعی از رهگذر آموزش عمومی ممکن می‌شود. بدین‌سان، نظریۀ عدالت رالز می‌تواند چارچوبی برای بازاندیشی عدالت آموزشی در جوامع دموکراتیک معاصر فراهم می‌آورد. https://philosophy.tabrizu.ac.ir/article_21202_d81e1594ce2163684ae6653a43bcb608.pdf
