In Avicenna's time, science was intellectually and culturally subordinate to theology, and the particular sciences were considered subordinate to theology and religion. The author's main question is how Avicenna faced this problem and what solution he offered to save the particular sciences from the domination of theology. Avicenna, as a great philosopher and metaphysician, considered the fundamental problem of science being subordinate to theology in attributing the law of nature to divine will and habit. To solve this crisis, Avicenna, by separating existence from essence, was able to make the law of nature independent of divine will and establish the particular sciences in the independent realm of essence, and the logic of the world of essences independent of essence ruled over the particular sciences. With the entry of the particular sciences into the realm of essence, the particular sciences became regulated by the necessity and universality existing in the realm of essence and became a calculable and predictable element. Finally, despite the methodological independence of the particular sciences, their epistemological principles and assumptions are referred to philosophy in order to maintain the fundamental link between philosophical thought and the epistemological organization of the sciences, at a foundational and non-theological level. This article is written in a descriptive-analytical manner.
