فلسفه‌ی تطبیقی از نگاه پُل ماسون اُرسِل

چکیده

ماسون اُرسِل پدر فلسفه‌ی تطبیقی است. او با تأثر از دو جریان تاریخ‌گرایی و پوزیتیویسم سده‎ی نوزده، می‌کوشید تا فلسفه‌ها را در مقام پدیده‌هایی تاریخی، در درون سنّت پوزیتیویستی، به گفت‌وگو وادارد. موفقیت روش تطبیقی در دیگر حوزه‌های معرفت خصوصاً فیلولوژی (فقه‌اللغه)، الهام‌بخش او در اتخاذ این اندیشه بود که مطالعه‌ی تطبیقیِ الگوهای تفکر در تمدّن‌های مختلف می‌تواند دانش ما را در جهت آنچه فلسفه می‌خوانیمش، وسعت و وضوح بخشد. او پژوهش خود را بر بررسی تاریخی سه تمدّن هند، چین و اروپا متمرکز می‌کند و معتقد است تاریخ و غنای حِکمی این سه تمدّن، بخشی از حکمت خالده‌ی جهان را تشکیل می‌دهد. اُرسِل در کتاب فلسفه‌ی تطبیقی می‌کوشد با طرح روش تطبیقی، فلسفه را از جزمیت و نسبیت مطلق برهاند. برای این کار، توجه خویش را به حقایق تاریخی فلسفی با توجه به بسترهای شکل‌گیری تاریخی‌شان معطوف می‌کند. در واقع او تطبیق را چونان مجرایی می‌داند که فلسفه با آن، از مطلق‌گرایی مابعدالطبیعی و نظری رهایی می‌یابد و به عمل و کاربردپذیری می‌گراید. ما در این مقاله می‌کوشیم تا با روی‌کردی توصیفی به معرفی آرا و نظریات اُرسِل درباب فلسفه‌ی تطبیقی بپردازیم.

چکیده [English]

Masson Oursel is considered as the father of comparative (or as some believe, compared) philosophy. His work is influenced by two main stream of thought in the early twentieth century: historicism and positivism. By appealing the comparative method, Oursel, in his book, La philosophie comparee (comparative philosophy), aims to make philosophy free from both absolute dogmatism and relativism. To accomplish this, he makes some close relation among abjective facts with their historical formation context, so that one cannot understand completely one without the other. Oursel believes that different philosophies and historical periods, would better to be compared. In their cultural context, with each other through analogy. He was convinced that in any society or civilization, there is not a solitary/individual historical fact which could not be interpreted comparatively an in accordance with positive scientific method
