Robert Stern (1962-2024) My colleague and friend Robert Stern, who has died aged 62 from brain cancer, spent 34 years at the University of Sheffield. He was one of the leading British philosophers of his generation, combining critical precision with generosity, and helped to overturn the well-established dichotomy between “analytic” and “continental” philosophy. The Journal of Philosophical Investigations (university of Tabriz) was selected as top humanities journal in Iran at the 25th Iranian Researchers and Research Centers Festival on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Shahid Beheshti University- Tehran . The editor-in-chief of the journal, Dr. Muhammad Asghari, a professor of philosophy at the University of Tabriz, was honored and commended by the Minister of Science at the ceremony.
