Abstract

In this article, we argue that the Coronavirus crisis is the beginning of a new era, but not like the middle Ages or the Enlightenment. So, we can say that for several reasons, the Coronavirus and also its persistence and presence in the coming months and even  future years, as well as its impact on the gradual emergence of the fundamental challenges in the realm of life, thought, and action, can be the basis for fundamental change and the formation of a different age. In addition to economic, political, religious, social and other challenges and questions, the philosophical challenges and questions about the Corona crisis can also be the theme of the philosophical inquiry. Therefore, our aim in this article is to first address the philosophical challenge in addition to the political, economic, social, religious, etc. and second, to analyze the philosophical challenge arising from this virus in Iran.

Introduction

In general, in the history of philosophy, we have encountered four philosophical paradigms: existence, consciousness, language, and culture. If we consider the next paradigm as the paradigm of life, the Corona crisis will be a good ground for accelerating its emergence. It seems that the questions and concerns raised by the Corona Crisis as justifications, methods, not necessarily answers, are more likely to be among the questions and concerns of the continental philosophers.. Given this significant direction in terms of topics and issues, it can be said that Corona's crisis is more about continental philosophy than analytic philosophy. The Coronavirus poses challenges at the macro and micro levels. At the macro level, for example, we can refer to the emergence of the paradigm of life in the form of philosophical thought, and also, nihilism is another paradigm. Corona's crisis also has the potential to open a nihilistic perspective to both modernity and postmodernism, as well as any religious or non-religious ideology, and even capitalism, communism, and so on.

The flow of subjectivity and anti-subjectivity

It seems that this crisis will strengthen a kind of subjectivity and, consequently, will have its own subjectivity. Perhaps today we can talk about topics such as the subject of life, the subject of health, the subject of care, the subject of self-preservation or survival (and perhaps the subject of conscious death). It means a subject whose theoretical arousal, practical self-realization, self-control, and self-treatment are focused on life, health, care, and so on.

The issue of nihilism

Corona's crisis also has the potential to open a nihilistic perspective to both modernity and postmodernism, as well as any religious or non-religious ideology, and even capitalism, communism, and so on. Facing the corona crisis and its consequences has placed us in the sphere of meaninglessness or meaninglessness of the assets in our world of life.

Philosophy of ethics

Issues such as critical meaning from another,  social distance, virtues, etc. need to be discussed in the philosophy of contemporary ethics. Also, re-evaluating the degree of success and application of the three perspectives of virtue, conscientiousness and consequentialism related to the field of normative ethics in the Corona crisis.

Philosophy of Biology

The advent of viruses such as Covid 19 may be an excuse for linking quantum physics and biology. Explaining that the following is a link between quantum physics and biology (transition from micro to nano and macro levels), the question is that due to some features that have been proposed by experts on the Covid 19, such as the emphasis on being indefinite. And the unpredictability of the virus, is not this a sign of some kind of uncertainty in the virus? And the result is not that we are facing another kind of uncertainty in the field of biology?

 

Philosophy of Religion

Another important issue in the field of philosophy of religion is the possibility of raising a topic called nihilistic theology. Nihilistic theology is more rooted in the situation of human beings in their time and life than in metaphysics. Nihilistic theology refers to theology that looks at theology on the horizon of death and non-existence, loss and evil, and has been formed mainly in response to the thesis of the death of Nietzsche. In nihilistic theology, death, non-existence, and evil enter the realm of theology in some way, but in a way that does not lead to the absolute deprivation of theology. The result of nihilistic theology is new interpretations of God and his relation to the world. The main question of this type of theology is whether it is possible to think today about the different emergence of God for human life and talk about something called nihilistic theology.

Philosophical and non-philosophical challenges in Iran

Iran's challenges with the Corona Crisis include the lack of a proper response to the crisis by religious science, the ideology of religious thought. The conflict between traditional medicine and modern medicine, as well as theological issues, such as the relationship between science and religion, and the issue of the position of religious organizations and authorities in times of crisis. But the most important challenge for today's crisis-stricken Iran is the practice of the subjectivism and the nihilistic experiences that people have entered into, and we must wait for the consequences.

 Conclusion

The Corona crisis has been a potential or actual ground for philosophical challenges and questions at all philosophical levels. If this crisis continues, the actual emergence of these challenges will be earlier and the potential challenges will be actualized.
