Logical contextualism and truth pluralism are two distinct philosophical approaches that both assign a decisive role to context or domain: the former in determining the correctness of logical systems, and the latter in determining the property of truth. At first sight, this shared commitment may suggest that accepting either view commits one to the other. This paper investigates the relationship between logical contextualism and truth pluralism by analyzing the foundations of the relationship between truth and logical validity. It argues that neither position entails the other unless additional philosophical assumptions are introduced. On the one hand, one may consistently endorse logical contextualism while remaining a truth-property monist, since differences in logical validity can be explained by factors other than differences in the property of truth. On the other hand, truth pluralism does not, by itself, entail logical contextualism, because such an inference depends on independent assumptions concerning the relationship between truth, logical validity, and the normativity of logic. The paper therefore concludes that no logical entailment holds between logical contextualism and truth pluralism. Rather, the relation between them is best understood as one of theoretical convergence: each view may provide theoretical motivation for adopting the other, without requiring it.
